Mid-length surfboards have an intermediate size, falling between a shortboard and a longboard. Unlike funboards, which are wider and more stable boards for beginners, mid-lengths perform better and are more maneuverable due to their refined outline and rocker. Sizes usually range from 6’6″ to 7’6″, the smaller the size, the more agile and less glide it will have, the larger, the higher the response time of the board and the greater the glide. The sensation of glide is nothing more than floating on the wave, feeling above the water, and the longer the board, the less the need to make lateral movements to generate speed, the extended length of the board itself contributes to the accumulation of kinetic energy.

This model has a filled outline and lower rocker that is very stable to surf and catch waves, it is suitable for those who would like to have a longboard, but that is also easy to carry around. A quad/single fin system feels great too and adds great variety.

Surfboards are available in Epoxy (EPS foam) and PU (polyurethane foam).

Mid-length surfboards are made for good floatation, fluid turns, and flow, while still maintaining decent maneuverability. They offer glide but with a more practical and maneuverable approach, this type of board varies from 6’6 to 8’0, they are ideal for surfers that want something in between a longboard and a shortboard.

They are great to draw classic lines but without leaving performance behind, the bigger the board, the more glide and paddle power it will have. The shorter the board, the more maneuverable and agile it’s going to be.

For the surfer that is after that classic mellow 70’s single fin ride, but with some modern touches to it, we recommend our Space Cruiser. It comes in single fin or 2+1 options.

If the surfer is seeking a performance feel with great rail-to-rail transition we recommend our twin fin Duo Diamond Mid Length. It can also have different fin configurations that add a lot of versatility and maneuverability to the board.

Our Spearfish and The Alternative models are great for fatter and less powerful waves.
